Jorge Ruz Ortega

Jorge Ruz Ortega studied Chemistry at the University of Granada. He obtained a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Santiago de Compostela and is currently a PhD student in the Doctoral Programme in Drug Research and Development at the University of Santiago de Compostela. He is conducting his research under the supervision of Prof. María José Alonso and Dr. Valle Palomo Ruiz, focusing on extracellular vesicles and nanocarrier systems for drug delivery. His current work explores extracellular vesicle-inspired and hybrid nanocarrier systems for RNA delivery to the central nervous system. These studies contribute to the rational design of more translatable nanomedicines for neurological applications.
