Superconductivity in twisted graphene layers: electronic structure and interactions.

Prof. Paco Guinea - IMDEA Nanociencia

Abstract: Twisted graphene layers show, for some twist angles, superconductivity and insulating behavior. This discovery has motivated an intensive research effort in order to elucidate the electronic structure of these systems, and the different interactions which may play a role. A review of current work will be presented, as well as an analysis of the interplay between the complex electronic bands of these systems and the electron-electron interaction.
