Solving twisted bilayer graphene with momentum-space quantum Monte Carlo method

Abstract

I will explain the modelling and more importantly, the quantum Monte Carlo solution of the twisted bilayer graphene systems. Based on examples that I will discuss, I argue that these projected Hamiltonians in the correlated flat-band systems, offer the new challenges and opportunities for the development of quantum many-body computation.
